Malle is currently a Senior Consultant at Dalberg based in Senegal. Throughout his career, he has worked on several organizational reviews, strategy implementations, program evaluations, and capacity building projects. He has been engaged in projects in various sectors such as agriculture/agribusiness, microfinance, health, infrastructure development, ICT, and education. At FocusAfrica, Malle is also responsible for tracking private sector trends, initiatives, and opportunities. His experience in strategy implementation and organizational review includes providing technical support to the University of Bambey in Senegal on its strategic plan for 2010-2015. He also supported the Belgo-Senegalese Fund (FCBS) on its institutional restructuring strategy. Malle’s experience also includes serving as co-project coordinator in supporting the Senegalese Government’s investment promotion agency, APIX, on its prefeasibility study for the establishment of a Central Business District in Dakar.
Malle has also developed expertise in project evaluations, as project coordinator for the evaluation of the Kurukan Fugan project – an initiative funded by the European Union in partnership with ENDA GRAF Sahel, the GRET and the Government of Senegal. The goal of this project is to strengthen the policy and operational capacities of civil society in seven priority sectors in Senegal: health, agro business, transport, fisheries, education, crafts and communication. Malle also has experience in investment facilitation in Senegal, through providing technical assistant to Infraco Management Limited Company to build a wind-park in Senegal. Malle has also supported a large multinational from the Middle East in researching potential markets in the infrastructure sector in Africa.
Prior to joining Dalberg, Malle served in one of West Africa’s largest business schools by supporting the strategic audit and restructuring of more than 150 employees located in six regions of Senegal. Malle’s experience also includes supporting the development of a strategic plan through a market survey for a company in the agribusiness sector. He also provided assistance to BNP Paribas in developing a strategic plan for Customer Relationship Management for the introduction of new products and services, supported the implementation of a client management tool, and assessed various options for setting up the department. The study also calculated the financial cost of non implementation of this system. Malle also assisted with the launch of prepaid cards and conducted a study on the penetration rate of the card in the Senegalese market.
Malle holds an MBA in International Business and a Master in Marketing Management from the International School of Management (ISM) in Dakar. He has worked in Benin, the Democratic Republic of Congo, France, and Burkina Faso. He speaks French fluently and has a good command of spoken English.
